Hey there, everyone, it’s-a me! 😁
The past few weeks have been rather chaotic, so my apologies for going incommunicado here. The household dealt with some sickness the week before last, and the weather wasn’t so cooperative one day this past week. Out of all of those weeks, I have all of SEVEN outfits to recap. 🙈
That’s okay, though. I’m learning to be more forgiving towards myself—there will be times where life happens. So, what’s been going on?
- I took my CompTIA Security+ certification exam, and passed 🥳
- Fell sick with the household with sinus infections, and still working to recover fully
- Working on my annual self-evaluation at work—I always dread them, trying to come up with what I did over the year
- Recently became interested in learning about CSS so that I can tweak and customize my blog even more, because I’m me, and I’m perpetually tweaking 🤣
- Dealing with persistent stability and reliability issues around my Instagram alternative account, to the point where I’m considering going back to Instagram with a brand spanking new account and starting fresh
- Reconnected with customers at work from my desktop support days to help spread the word of my (not so) recent role/responsibility changes
- Slightly reflecting and reassessing my personal style, as I feel it’s been fallen a bit on the plain side—it’s especially plain as summer approaches, as I am unable to wear shorts and such to work (I need to find more inspiration, and women’s fashion/style has always been more inspiring over men’s)
I think that’s about it. Now you’re all caught up. 😜
The Exposed Shore
Aside from what I shared above, life has been pretty ordinary lately. I’m certainly not complaining by any means, I’m accustomed to existing in the quiet space. It’s familiar. It’s comfortable. I personally never felt the need to constantly be on-the-go. I’m much happier with the calm and the stillness. I’m not accustomed to chasing down creativity and inspiration—I prefer to sit quietly on the sand, and wait for the waves to approach the shore. To use my personal hashtag, it’s #VulnerablyMe. 😊
Where was that headed? Nowhere, really. While thinking of something to write about, I merely, wrote. It’s not much, but hey, apparently I needed to say it. Not only that, it’s not always about the quantity. Sometimes, it’s not really about the quality either, but merely letting the words be said. Sometimes setting those words free opens up room for something else to fill the space.
I’ll be right here waiting. 😊
