THE WATER’S EDGE

The Weekly Wardrobe: March 30-April 3, 2026

Hey everyone, happy Sunday to you! For those of you who celebrate it, happy Easter to you as well. I hope you are having a great weekend so far. I don’t have any special plans for the holiday, aside from my usual enjoying a lazy day in preparation for the week ahead. 😊

I can’t believe that it’s already been over two weeks since I attended my Security+ class — it still feels like it was merely a couple of days ago. In between fire-fighting at work, I’ve been trying to review and study so I can schedule to take my certification exam. I think I may just bite the bullet and schedule it for next Wednesday, so that I actually have it on the calendar. Not only that, this will also give me a firm deadline to buckle down. I’ll need all of the luck and positive vibes I can take, so thank you in advance. 😉

The Exposed Shore

You may have noticed — either by visiting here, or by my mentioning it across social media — that I have tweaked my blog (again) to be a little more cohesive. Most of the changes have been simply cosmetic, as in changing some titles, fonts, and headings, with the blog name change being the most significant one. Even then, I feel it’s only a small change.

If you have followed me for a long time, you know that I am frequently changing things across my blog and/or social media. While I have been largely happy with the most recent iteration of my blog, it still never 100% felt right. It turns out that the solution had been staring me in the face all this time, and quite literally.

The catalyst? My beach/ocean picture.

Even still, I am challenged by my (lack of) ability to combine my passions of fashion/style and cybersecurity. With these two very different interests, I find myself walking along between them, much like walking along the shore where the ocean meets the sand — the “water’s edge,” if you will. Even though I exist and feel most comfortable in this space, it’s difficult to find ways for me to mix them.

This section in particular, I’ve renamed, “the exposed shore,” from “this got me thinking”. While it falls more in line with the overall theme, it also feels like a natural description where I tend to be my most vulnerable self (#VulnerablyMe), much like when the tides ebb (or is it flow?), and the deeper parts of the shore are exposed that are normally hidden.

Pretty clever, if I do say so myself, and I hope you like the subtle, but significant changes. 😊

Finally, here is a look back at what I wore to work this past week. I hope you enjoy them. Have a great holiday, and enjoy the rest of your weekend and week ahead!

-Terry

Congrats on the site rename! I love March 31’s picture. Nothing better than a crisp (white?) shirt. I hope to get a blazer at some point. Do you have any recommendations on where to get one?

Thanks, Caleb! The shirt is pink, but glad you like it!

As for blazer recommendations, most of the ones I own have come from thrift or secondhand stores. I’d highly recommend looking there, as you can try to see what you like or not with minimal cost.
