Thoughts From the Edge: August 10, 2026

Hey everyone! No, I haven’t forgotten about my blog — quite the opposite, actually.

While I may not have been having any creative ideas striking me for quite some time now, I have been spending a lot of energy and focus on the site itself. I still have been having unexplainable issues with my site, and the virtual machine it’s been running on through AWS (Amazon Web Services). Things would seemingly be rock-solid for a while, and suddenly, things would just lock up, forcing me to have to “pull the plug” on my virtual machine and start it back up to bring it back for who-knows-how-long.

When my site went down again yesterday, I was convinced that I was going to have to just start from scratch. I was convinced that I would be spending part of my time off creating something entirely new. In that moment, I had a wild notion to try going outside of the box — migrate my blog to a hosting site. I never had any experience with AWS and managing a virtual machine, not to mention maintaining it. Why not just let someone else manage that stuff for me, and I can concentrate on my site itself? After several hours and many sets of live chats, my site is now on its new home, and it’s so much speedier too! Let’s see how things work out on here. Fingers crossed! 🤞🏼

The Exposed Shore

As you might have noticed from the title of this post, “weekly wardrobe” hardly seems like an apt post title anymore, considering that it’s been a hot minute since I last posted an outfit recap. Trust me, I am still quite regularly taking and sharing my outfit pictures on my Pixelfed page, so if you want to keep tabs on what I’ve been up to, feel free to check it out. ☺️

So, exit “Weekly Wardrobe”, and enter “Thoughts From the Edge”. This gives me a little creative freedom when writing up my posts, as they may not always be centered around what I wore, and allows me to be as frequent — or infrequent — as I wish with outfit sharing. That, and it also ties in rather nicely with the whole beach/water theme I’ve got going on here, don’t ya think? It’s strange, while I’ve never really been all that fascinated by the beach itself (I don’t swim), I do enjoy the thought and vibe of it. I wonder why that is…

For those of you who might have stuck around with me thus far, I truly thank you. I am always grateful for the support, and for enduring my constant problems, and creative and technical challenges. 🙏🏼
